Malibu Walls privacy and analytics notice
Updated October 27, 2026.
Project requests
Our project form asks for your name, your chosen email address or phone number, project ZIP code, and service and design choices. You can also provide optional notes and photos. Your submission is emailed privately to the Malibu Walls project team to review your request and respond.
Website operations
Hosting operational logs may include your IP address, access time, browser or user-agent information, requested URL, and referring URL. These operational records are separate from Google Analytics.
Website analytics
Google Analytics 4 helps us understand page visits, traffic sources, and successful project requests. Our measurement uses approved page routes, source labels, referring-site hostnames rather than full referring URLs, and approved campaign labels from UTM parameters. A successful-request event is sent only after our server accepts a request.
Our analytics implementation excludes personal names, email addresses, phone numbers, ZIP codes, free text, photos, request IDs, and receipt references from Google Analytics.
Google also processes browser and device information, cookie-based online identifiers, and approximate location derived from your IP address. These identifiers mean analytics is not anonymous. Read how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services.
Our configuration keeps advertising features, Google signals, and ad personalization disabled.
When analytics is on, Malibu Walls also records the available traffic-source category and approved campaign labels with the private reference for an accepted project request. This helps us compare where requests come from. If you turn analytics off or no source signal is available, we record that the source is unknown rather than assume a direct visit. The private source record is not sent to Google Analytics.
Your choice
Analytics is on automatically for new visitors unless your browser requests privacy protection or saved preferences cannot be read. You can turn it off at any time using Analytics preferences in the site footer. We retain previous opt-out choices, and Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals block analytics. When analytics is off, no Google Analytics script is loaded on a new page, and our analytics events stop. A preference is stored locally in your browser when you make a choice; automatic analytics is not recorded as an explicit consent choice.
